I was provided with a LDC workbook, many videos, and excellent feedback within lessons. I was taught all manoeuvres with ease, and found Andy a pleasure to have as an instructor. I found that even in tricky scenarios, Andy was always super at explaining what to do, and I've always appreciated his flexibility with lessons. Thank you so so much! 😀

Sam Whyte

He is a very good instructor, very patient at the beginning ,very clear instructions. If I was doing anything wrong he makes it clear, friendly and easy to speak to. The LDC book is very useful with everything you need to know in it. It was very useful how Andy incorporated the book into the lessons. Not a single negative comment from me

Sophia Brandreth

Andy has been an absolutely amazing instructor, he has consistently been so reassuring, patient and so helpful. I would 1 million % recommend Andy to anyone learning to drive.

Nathan Smith

Excellent explanation Really calm in every situation Great feedback on mock tests Always made me feel safe in the car.

Theo Ward

Helpful techniques, provided apps, helpful feedback, provided mock tests with feedback

Tom Abbey

An absolutely amazing instructor of indescribable wisdom. In my year (nearly, maybe, probably) of learning to drive, I was always quite nervy and that is certainly thanks to my Asperger's, but Andy (the saint he is) was completely understanding and I cannot imagine what I'd do without him.

Edward Grieves

Since I started driving with Andy, I’ve learnt a lot. From the start of my lessons I was a bit of a nervous driver, but with Andy’s help I was able to overcome some of the nervousness. I passed on the second try, thanks to Andy’s feedback on my first test. In my first test I had less control over the car which greatly improved after Andy’s help. The best piece of advice he gave was to slow down and plan ahead. As well as this, drilling the MSPSGL and POM routines. Big thanks!!

Arthur Hodgson

Very informative and helpful. Very nice guy. Passed first time.

Evie Donohoe

Andy's a great instructor, he's really patient and always gives tips throughout the lessons. He works on things you've been struggling with and ensures you no longer struggle with them. I feel really confident with driving all because of Andy's teaching and would recommend him to anyone.

Emily Delves

Instructor: Really great, always made me feel safe and comfortable in lessons. Never scolded me once! Made learning feel progressive and useful. I'm very grateful! LDC workbook: Very useful in and out of lessons, especially make use of the show me tell me questions! 😀

Nick Yates

Look forward to every lesson. Whenever I do something wrong it stays calm in the car and don't feel stressed out. Always talkative which reduces the stress of learning how to drive. Mock tests were very helpful and the learning methods were very good, no complaints.

Louis Seabourne

Andy from the start has always been supportive and helped me make sure I know what I'm doing when learning to drive. He always took time in lessons to pull over and give me advice to drive the best I can. From the start, I've been able to make huge progress each lesson and Andy has always given me resources/advice to also learn at home. His encouragement and instructor skill allowed me to pass with only 2 minors.

Lily Teare

My instructor taught my brother before me and he recommended him highly so I used some left over slots to start my own lessons. I was very anxious to begin with and he was, and remained to be a very helpful and patient teacher. The LDC apps and website I used frequently too; they helped to consolidate the theory and everything I learnt in lessons.

George Leaf

Very easy going, does it all step by step. Very nice to learn with.

Olly Mair

Very good. Always very calm and reassuring. Made my journey from the beginning very easy and enjoyable.

Oliver Young

Andy, I thought has taught me at a good pace to learn all the aspects of driving and has helped me when I was stuck. He showed me good methods towards forward and reverse bay park which helped me carry it out with little error. Also, he helped get ready on the day of my test by practising my weaker aspects.

George Samms

Really enjoyed my time driving with Andy, kept me very calm and confident under pressure, as well as being sure of my ability. Ultimately led to the best outcome in what felt like a shortish amount of time so thank you very much.

Edie Hill

Andy was extremely helpful and is a very good teacher. Thank you!

Joseph Hodgson

Brilliant instructor, extremely patient, calm and understanding. Teaches the course in a really intuitive manner and helped me pass comfortably, first time.

Dylan Pottage

Andy was extremely friendly as an instructor, certainly someone you can have a good chat with and feel comfortable. He explained everything very well, especially with certain methods to help with e.g. manoeuvres. Overall he helped me pass first time with only 2 minors showing how brilliant of an instructor he is. The only negative is he's a Leeds fan😂

Matilda Bristow

Very friendly and warm Gave very clear, concise feedback when necessary As the learner driver who was nervous I felt prepared and confident for my test thanks to Andy. Andy is an excellent instructor and has a warm presence.

Ethan Caisley

Andy has been excellent with me and my learning progression since the start. He has helped me massively with every scenario including great help mentally also, especially after being unsuccessful with my first test. Andy has made it easy and simple for me to come back and has in general been a great mentor. The LD system has been very helpful, particularly the 'show me/tell me' questions as they made me confident when on my test. The LDC workbook throughout has been really useful and in summary a really good learning experience. Massive thanks to Andy

Nevin Mathew

Very clear instructions Always very calm and composed Helped reassure me even when I failed Helped effectively work on my faults and gave very good tips on how to improve Helps me feel safe knowing if you make a mistake Andy will ensure that everyone is safe

Finley Humphreys

My instructor was excellent throughout, every lesson we progressed overall and every lesson has been very tailored to me leading much improvement. Communication and timings for lessons was always clear. The LDC Theory test preparation was very useful and the resources were of a good standard. Each lesson was enjoyable and I always looked forward to them.

Chris Klays

The resources are good and to the point and used well alongside Andy's instruction. I cannot fault Andy in anyway. For someone who is terrified at the thought of driving, Andy was patient, calm and to the point but gave me the confidence to be able to pass first time. I never felt rushed or not ready to take my test when I did, but perfectly prepared for the day. Thank you ever so much Andy. I can't recommend Andy enough to anybody wanting to learn how to drive!

Sam Hopkins

Before starting driving, I already knew Andy as he taught my brother football, so it was good to have someone who knew my family and shared interests with. Andy was very good at keeping me calm and always knew what to say to keep my confidence up, which helped as I could see how easy it is to lose confidence with driving. As for the LDC resources, they were easy to get on to and had all the information I needed if I was unsure about something, as well as reminding me of my lesson.

Nathan Carrington

Andy is very polite and clearly knows his knowledge. The LDC resources that helped me are great, including online. The LDC videos are clear and not over complicated. Overall Andy is fantastic to work with.

Joey Watkinson

Andy has been very good with me from my very first lesson to now. He has been excellent with me, being consistent with every lesson and moving me at a good pace to progress.

Austin Currie

Andy was a calm and friendly instructor who was comforting and helped in all situations. He was always working in a calm and helpful manor and was always paying attention to help me with my learning and eventually test. He has boosted my confidence and ability as a driver and I could not recommend anyone better.😊

Lewis Brown

Andy has been a great instructor always providing good feedback. Every lesson was very constructive and really helpful. The LDC workbook was very helpful when practising the show me and tell me questions. The LDC videos were also helpful to gain an understanding on how to prepare for the next lesson.

Sean Kerr

Instructor- 6 Stars, always looked forwards to lessons and haven't felt nervous because of his expertise in driving and personal skills - one of the soundest guys ever. LD System - The workbook is very informative but didn't feel the website/app is as good as other theory apps.

Daniel Teare

Absolutely amazing, wouldn't have passed without Andy. Couldn't have asked for a better instructor. Highly recommend Andy to people looking for a great instructor.

Freddie Thornton

My instructor, Andy, was amazing! Always bright and friendly, he made learning to drive fun and in general an enjoyable experience. The whole process was efficient with the LDC structure, and lesson times were always filled with fun conversations. Andy was brilliant at organising lessons, and always made sure lesson times were available when needed. I'll definitely be recommending Andy to my friends who need to learn to drive! Thanks Andy for a great experience!

Stan Bernard

Andy is a great instructor, he's helped me learn how to drive safely and easily. Plenty of resources have been available which go into depth on everything I've needed to know and the practice theory tests all allowed me to pass first time.

Josh Morritt

Andy is a fantastic instructor who is patient, friendly and extremely helpful whilst you are trying to learn. The LD systems provided are wonderful resources to help learn. They are informative and engaging to provide you with the best chance of passing your theory and physical tests first time.

Sean Feasby

Laura Robertson

Very good and patient, made sure I felt ready for my test and went over anything I needed more help with.

Natalie Carling

Andy has been faultless in every way

Andy has been faultless in every way. I was so nervous starting to drive so late (28) and couldn't ask a better instructor, so friendly, jolly and puts me at ease when driving so much so, I brought him with me on my test and passed second time! The most supportive and motivating instructor. The system and all the resources that came with LDC are amazing and helped me so much. I passed my theory first time and this system is 100% the reason!! Couldn't have asked for a better instructor. Thank you so much Andy!!

Josh Wilkinson

Andy was a great instructor, I'm so glad I had him to help me pass. Without Andy's help I don't know what I would've done. He's kind and is easy to have a friendly chat with which helps take the nerves away.

Oliver Wilkinson

Andy was great, fantastic instructor Really good listener Great at explaining things Very good to chat with.

Emma Pamplin

Andy is a lovely instructor who never fails to make me feel comfortable and at ease. Driving initially frightened me but Andy had a way to somehow keep me calm in any situation. He was always alert and ensured that we were both safe in any situation. I would highly recommend Andy as an instructor especially to those who initially feel wary about learning to drive since Andy is the perfect person to solve that.

Samuel Wilson

Heidi Bonnar

Andy has really helped me gain confidence while driving, as well as being such a great instructor helping me learn. He is a very friendly guy and has taught me the basics of driving in ways that helped me massively.

Megan Hunter

Enjoyed every lesson

Andy has been amazing. He explains everything in full detail until understood. He references to the LDC workbook which has visual representations. He also uses maps which is very helpful. Andy always explains why things may have gone wrong. Andy allows you to think for yourself and make decisions for yourself before advising you. I have enjoyed every lesson with Andy and will advise him to anyone looking to learn. Thank you so so much😄

Jamie Forbes

Had a bad experience with a previous instructor who destroyed my confidence and I needed to get my license quickly for a new job. Andy was amazing and really helped build my confidence back, getting me through my test in time for my job. I felt I had no chance of passing my test and within a couple of weeks, Andy had me proficient enough to pass first time with minimal faults, something that I didn't think possible when we started. He is patient and very supportive, nurturing independent thinking and decision making which was exactly what I needed. I couldn't have hoped for a better instructor. Thanks Andy for saving the day!

Cameron Wakerley

Teaches well with clear instructions

Very nice, teaches well with clear instructions and ways to improve. The LDC website is helpful with videos and information and the workbook for show me tell me questions etc. Lessons structured well.

Max Davies-Brown

Andy was an excellent instructor. Really catered to my needs. Got me to pass first time. Really friendly and most importantly, a Leeds United fan. LDC resources were really good. Specifically the workbook and the show me tell me questions in it. I would happily recommend Andy and LDC to any new drivers.

Drew Patel

Very helpful and patient. Made me feel confident with my driving. Very constructive feedback. Passed in good time and very pleased with the lessons I’ve had.

Poppy Mogg

Andy is fab! Very friendly and helpful resources were also very useful for practical and theory.

Ginny Leadley

Brilliant instructor

Andy is a brilliant driving instructor. His teaching is clear, constructive and always progressive which has enabled me to move on in a structured manner with my driving. Andy communicated excellently, explaining what he wanted me to do and why, which has not only enabled me to drive but also to develop an awareness and consideration of all other road users. Andy kept notes of each lesson so there was no guessing as to what we did last time and what needs further work. Each lesson was planned and discussed to focus on what I felt I needed more practice with and what Andy knew I was struggling with. Lessons were kept on track and never allowed to drift. As an older learner I really wanted an instructor who would teach me at my pace. Andy is an LDC ( Learner Driving Centre ) instructor which uses a structured system of teaching . This includes a LDC workbook and app which I found helpful to refer back to between lessons. The method allows you to see exactly where you are on your learning to drive journey and helps to prepare for the next step. Andy is patient and calm and his coaching skills are evident as he is able to pick up on any minor things early which could later become an issue. At times I felt anxious about driving especially on busier roads but Andy talked me through the anxiety, gradually building my skills and therefore confidence. I’m over the moon to have passed my test today, first time and with no faults - there’s no doubt this is due to Andy’s excellent teaching. Thanks Andy, I couldn’t appreciate it more.

Andy was very calming

Instructor was very calming and understanding when it took me a while to figure out what I’m doing. The LDC workbook was very useful and helped me to understand the rights of way in roads and understand how I can visualise certain roads that I may not have come across.

Sophie Ross

Been learning with Andy for over a year and passed first time. Andy was always accommodating with lesson times and is very knowledgeable. Provided me with extra resources such as the book and some online resources.

Lucy Donohoe

Recommend to everyone

Great instructor, very patient and knowledgeable in driving tips and teaching content. Very nice and friendly throughout. Recommend to everyone. I liked the LDC workbook, it was very helpful and the videos were a good way to visually see what the manoeuvre looks like in action. The hub was good for the theory test prep as the questions were similar to the actual.

Amelia Hill

Patient, kind and funny

Andy is really patient, kind, funny and overall amazing. He creates a really welcoming and relaxed environment, and he is overall the best teacher anyone could wish for! The LDC workbook and app provided is also very helpful.

Jack Yates

During my time learning to drive Andy has helped me a lot as I had no experience with driving beforehand. At the start Andy helped me gain confidence with my driving from an early stage, as he helped me try and perfect the basics. Throughout my lessons we slowly implemented different obstacles that will occur while driving (eg roundabouts & crossroads). Andy helped me go through this and made sure that I was confident in my ability so that I had no fear of these situations. Andy was very helpful but also very cautious as he was alert to danger always. He helped me learn steadily and not rush through any of the objectives. I would highly recommend.

Jacob Caisley

Andy is so incredibly relaxed and very friendly which makes it easy to learn and makes it exciting. Andy has helped me overcome my nerves which ultimately has encouraged me to keep trying for my test. I recommend Andy to anyone and everyone, all credit to Andy!

Esme Sharpe

Andy is a friendly, kind and patient instructor. He is a great teacher who lets you learn independently, but isn’t afraid to help you out. He makes driving sound simple!

Lewis Dawson

Made it personal the whole time in lessons. Went through things time after time to help you go through it. Helped talking to you through the nerves. Included you with involvement asking what you want to work on. Found out what works for you in particular to help you work on it. Chats through everything with you, helps and talks through everything. When it comes to mock tests make sure you’re perfect before you’re ready so when Andy says you’re ready, you’re ready!

Euan Farrington

Really supportive and calming, great teaching and helps get the most out of you.

Owen Harrison

Andy was super friendly and supportive

Andy was super friendly and supportive for the whole experience of learning to drive. We went at a pace that was challenging but also doable. I think Andy was a great instructor and he made sure that I was comfortable with all the manoeuvres. Also, in preparation for my second test, he made sure I went over the issues from the first one so I knew for next time.

Charlie Thornton

Andy was a really great instructor - he was always able to keep calm (not the easiest thing to do at some points.. ) and was always engaging. With regards to the LD System, I found the LDC workbook’s content quite useful, both for preparing for lessons and measuring my progress using the targets. I didn’t really use the online videos though, nor did I use the theory test preparation resources because I’d already done my theory test prior to meeting Andy. Overall, my time learning to drive’s been enjoyable, and I feel Andy’s been a big part of why.

Ollie Foster

Really good instructor

Really good instructor and explains everything clearly. The LDC workbook was good to follow for targets to set myself as well as the show me / tell me questions. Andy explained the book well and went over everything very well which allowed me to understand everything. The LDC Theory Test preparation allowed me to feel confident when taking my test. Andy made me aware of all these resources which allowed me to prepare for everything.

George Coleman

Andy was fantastic throughout my learning experience. He kept me on the right track from start to finish. I felt like I had a steady progression, not being too stressed whilst pushing myself to learn in the best way possible. I want to thank Andy for his continued support this year. I would like to praise his calmness in my first few lessons as I was finding it stressful and he took his time with me.

Freya Forbes

Andy was very patient and his feedback was thoughtful. This made learning quick and comfortable. The LDC workbook was helpful at the beginning and before the test, but otherwise I didn’t use it that often. But it’ll be a nice refresher to use in future. The practice theory questions and mock tests were extremely helpful. I also appreciate how flexible Andy was with rearranging lessons etc.

Freya Forbes

Joshua Coverdale

As an instructor, Andy is one of the most patient, understanding and helpful instructors I could’ve wished for. The past six months with his guidance has resulted in an extremely rewarding teaching style, making me feel like I was both learning as well as growing my overall confidence. Andy couldn’t have been more approachable, trustworthy and better choice to teach me and I owe a great deal to him. As for the theory preparation; they too were very helpful in my preparation as the UI was helpful and efficient to navigate with every possible question at my disposal. I felt more than ready when my test came. Overall, fantastic.

Dan Wilson

LDC / Andy is a perfect instructor as he helped me to pass first time. He quickly got me up to speed on driving and made me feel confident in my abilities, especially on daunting obstacles to a beginner. I would highly recommend to anybody wanting to learn quickly and efficiently as he’s done just that for me. If you want to learn certain things he will teach you the best way to do it, for example, a certain manoeuvre that you struggle doing.

Sarah Pun Sin

Learning with Andy has been a really enjoyable experience. He is very patient and values my opinion on my own driving, making sure I recognised areas I could improve on. I always looked forward to my lessons with him. We worked at a pace I was comfortable with for me to make good progress. I would highly recommend learning with Andy😀 The LDC workbook was very helpful for helping me practice for my test. It is easy to follow and explains everything well. Having my own copy was helpful for me to learn/revise in my own time.

Stephen Kerr

Absolutely amazing! Really enjoyed my lessons with Andy. I think his way of teaching is perfect, makes every lesson stress free and the test feel a lot less scary than it could be. The best thing about the lessons is whenever you make a mistake you both talk about what happened and what you could’ve done differently or better.

Stephen Kerr

Fantastic instructor. Andy is patient, clear and explains things very well. I always felt safe and reassured when learning to drive with Andy. Ben Morritt

Andy is very calming and takes his time to thoroughly explain all situations and manoeuvres before going into them. As an overall experience driving with Andy is extremely positive when you are just finding your feet as the level of detail he goes into helps you to know what exactly you as a driver need to work on and where you can improve on parts of your driving. In terms of the LD System workbook and overall learning tools they help to put into technical terms all the key aspects of the driving test and all parts covered in lessons. Overall, my experience in learning to drive with Andy has allowed my confidence and ability to massively improve, causing me to pass my test and drive with confidence.

Tom Yates

Andy was really helpful throughout this entire process. He was amazing at keeping me on my toes throughout drives and taught me the basics very thoroughly. One of the most useful parts of having Andy teach me was how easy it was to rearrange lessons due to his quick communication. Andy is very calm when driving, a stark contrast to what you hear of others, never getting angry if you make a mistake. Overall it has been a pleasure to be taught by him and a very enjoyable experience.

Raul Patel

Lizzy Morritt

I had been learning to drive before COVID, but due to lockdown had to take a break so picked up driving again in August 2022 with Andy. I had developed many bad habits and Andy has helped me get rid of them and gain confidence in my driving skills, which had lacked previously. He has helped to develop my knowledge of driving and the car and car maintenance, all important elements of being an independent driver. Andy is very friendly and helpful as an instructor, with patience and ability to explain everything in good detail. I would happily recommend Andy to anyone who is looking to learn how to drive. Thank you Andy!

Abbie Quick

My instructor was patient with me from day one, taking lessons step by step. I knew I could voice any concerns I was having and my instructor would offer me any help and advice. The resources that were provided to me were very useful and easy to navigate. I would highly recommend LDC for learner drivers.

Will Stone

Andy has been an excellent instructor throughout my entire time learning to drive. He made me completely confident in myself that I was capable of driving and made me competent at everything that I was doing. Andy’s structured lesson plans made it easy to know how far I was along with my learning at all times, as well as providing a helpful guide that was filled with questions and notes to give you helpful extra tips throughout. With Andy’s help I was able to pass first time with only 3 minors and I did it confidently with Andy’s support.

Joseph Smith

I had previously had some lessons, but switched to Andy and since then my driving has progressed quicker than I expected. I also looked forward to my lessons. The Driving Skills Workbook was very useful, especially towards the end of my lessons as it meant I could practice the show me / tell me questions. Also, the online hub was very useful for my theory test because in my actual test the questions were more similar to LDC’s hub than the Apps I’d used previously.

Henry Fish

Cannot thank Andy enough. He is very patient and understanding and nothing is ever too much for him. His way of teaching is great, from asking what I want to focus on each lesson including his recommendations. I found the LDC Driving Skills Workbook very beneficial as it increased my awareness of which manoeuvres I needed to work on. Andy was always very punctual, friendly and easy to get along with and have a laugh. While out on a lesson Andy would pick up on any mistakes and practise and perfect them on our next lesson so I knew where I needed to improve. Overall, I can’t recommend Andy enough. Thank you.

Sophie Gill

Really patient, always made me feel comfortable and never doubted my abilities. Always a good drive with Andy😀 Passed first time with his teaching.

LDC Theory Test Resources: Very helpful, especially the amount of practice tests and that it covers all parts and categories of the test. Instructor: Didn’t rush my lessons and made sure I understood the processes and what to do before moving on. After learning the basics I got the choice of what I needed to improve on and really helped with my progress as a driver and being ready for my test.

Rebecca Foster

Fantastic experience with Andy. Such a patient and supportive instructor. Andy has been so encouraging and he’s never made me feel like a slow learner, despite it taking me 5 years altogether to pass. Very reassuring and just an overall pleasure to be taught by. 10/10 experience.

Matthew Carruthers

The resources provided were very helpful and showed a clear view on what to do. Andy was very good at showing me how and what to do making me have a clear understanding. Very clear with telling me how each manoeuvre is done and in general very helpful and organised with student drivers. Overall, brilliant.

Felicity Bell

A great instructor. Very patient and explains things very clearly. The resources are extremely helpful and help to guide the lessons and track progress. Would recommend to any new drivers. I found Andy’s approach of pulling over to talk through complicated manoeuvres before attempting them extremely helpful. Being encouraged to ask questions and learn the theory behind the manoeuvres definitely helped me to understand them and adapt my approach when the roads were busy, and has helped me to become a confident driver.

Ollie Heppell

Andy was brilliant, really good at showing how to do things when unsure. Great instructor.

Fleur Rivera

Andy is a great instructor. He is calm and taught me efficiently and effectively. I have overcome my many fears and difficulties with manoeuvres. Andy is really lovely and I feel comfortable learning how to drive. I gained knowledge, skills and confidence and that’s all thanks to Andy. Thank you Andy, you are the best. Hope you are able to help other learners as well. Keep up the good work😀

George Pickford

From the start Andy was kind, down to earth and understanding. He took in everything I asked and gave great feedback. If I was unsure on anything he was willing to let me try/test my theories to clear any mental blocks. Every lesson I was met with a positive greeting and reassurance on what we previously learnt, and what we are going to tackle that day. I would recommend Andy to anyone of any ability to learn with him. I couldn’t have done it without him.

Ryan Gorman

Calm and collected, good feedback where to improve. Not too complicated, but enough for a full understanding. Would recommend.
